Biography

Founded in Vevey in 2023 by singer/producer John Silvestre and drummer Laurent Glur, Eckhart
is a Franco-Swiss project drawing inspiration from electronic, punk rock, hip-hop and industrial
noise. Their sound is original and visceral, torn between danceable atmospheres, saturated
synthesizers and frenetic rhythms borrowed from breakcore.
Armed with abrasive and abundant instrumentation, Eckhart's music is cathartic, raging and
uncompromising, recalling the universe of bands such as Death Grips, Chemical Brothers,
Daughters and Psychic TV.

Album

After a year of production, the duo present 'Far From God', a debut album that lays the
foundations straight away. Tackling themes such as alienation through entertainment, consumer
society, hyper-communication, the commodification of human relationships, the loss of God and
the quest for an effaced sense of wonder, Eckhart kicks the anthill.
And we want more!
10 tracks exploring different electronic genres, from trip hop to industrial, punk and breakcore.
Cleverly balanced and devilishly effective, 'Far From God' is a radical record that doesn't run the
risk of leaving listeners indifferent. It even includes a daring reworking of Pixies' "Where Is My
Mind”!
